The Landscapes of the Mineral Tramway
An exploration of the differing landscapes
of the historic Mineral Tramway in West Cornwall. This series of photographs was shot between February and April 2008, and concentrated on the Devoran to Portreath section of the now absent tramroad; that at the height of Mineral Mining in Cornwall connected the north and south coasts, allowing mineral to be exported by barge to a global market, and
fuel to be imported from other parts of Britain to fire the huge network of engine houses required to pump water and raise material from open shafts.
